Dan Lewis is an associate in the firm’s Houston office. Dan’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation across a variety of areas.
As a member of the University of Illinois College of Law’s Federal Civil Rights Clinic, he gained first-chair trial experience in a federal civil rights jury trial and obtained a settlement for one of his other clients. During his law school tenure, he earned the law school’s top award for graduating students for Excellence in Advocacy for his role in the law school’s Trial Team. He also participated as a member of the Constitutional Law Moot Court team.
Dan earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from American University. While in Washington DC, he was a White House intern for former Vice President Joe Biden and a legislative intern for former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. His interest in zealous advocacy and litigation began at American University, where he was an active participant in the school’s college mock trial program.
After law school, Dan served as a law clerk to The Honorable Benita Y. Pearson of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio where he gained valuable experience researching and writing on various civil litigation matters.
Outside of the office, Dan enjoys listening to podcasts, keeping up with pop culture, and exploring Houston. Dan also assists college mock trial programs by volunteering to judge for tournaments.
*Dan is not yet licensed in Texas, so any work he performs on Texas cases is done at the direction and under the supervision of licensed Texas attorneys.
