Erica E. M. Fauser

Erica Fauser is an associate in the firm’s Houston office, whose practice focuses on a diverse array of civil and commercial litigation matters, including (but certainly not limited to) property & casualty insurance litigation, life insurance litigation, and real estate litigation.
During law school, Erica was President and lead editor of the University of Illinois Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration moot court team, where she led the team in competitions nationally and internationally around Europe. Erica also simultaneously served as Editor of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court team, and as the President of the University of Illinois chapters of the Black Law Students’ Association and the International Law Society. She studied abroad in the Netherlands at the Vrije University of Amsterdam, where she enhanced her knowledge in international commercial law, and she gained valuable experience in international commercial transactions while working as a global fellow with the in-house counsel at Kobe Steel, Co. in Tokyo, Japan. Erica is also committed to pro bono service and received the pro bono distinction from the University of Illinois for her service in promoting judicial transparency in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and for her work with human rights nonprofits in Cairo, Egypt.
Outside of the office, Erica spends time with her husband, family, and Siberian Husky, Niko. She is an avid traveler, lover of food and music, and can often be found at her favorite local dance studio improving her 10+ years of ballet and dance technique. Erica can speak Spanish and elementary Arabic (Egyptian dialect).
