Amelia Harvey is a thoughtful advocate with a practical, detail-oriented approach to client service. 

Amelia received her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the American University of Paris in 2018, where she studied Creative Writing and became fluent in French. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Oxford in 2019. Before law school, Amelia worked at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris, focusing on the incorporation of advanced technology in education through international diplomacy. 

After moving back to the U.S., Amelia earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2024. While in law school, she served as an Executive Chair of the UHLC Student Bar Association and as a Teaching Assistant for Statutory Interpretation and Regulations. She also became a trained mediator through UHLC’s Mediation Clinic and received the Frank G. Evans Mediation Award. 

Prior to joining McDowell Hetherington, Amelia litigated across Texas state, federal, and statutory probate courts. As part of MH’s healthcare team, Amelia prioritizes meticulous analysis of dense documentation, effective motion practice, and clear communication. 

In her free time, Amelia enjoys spending time with her two dogs, weightlifting, and going to concerts.
