Erin Taylor has unique expertise advising life insurance clients on complex actuarial disputes.

Her strong work ethic, tenacity, and reasoned judgment provide her with the ability to help clients solve problems – whether through pre-suit resolution, effective motion practice or trial.

Erin’s practice focuses on financial services litigation. In addition to her wide-ranging experience with class action litigation involving cost of insurance provisions in life insurance policies, Erin has significant experience advising life insurance clients on any type of dispute that might arise. She has handled litigation involving breach of contract, wrongful lapse or termination, RICO and antitrust, unfair insurance or trade practices, bad faith, fraud, and financial misrepresentation claims at all stages of a case’s development. Erin has also drafted appellate briefs filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth and Ninth Circuits, which secured trial court victories.

Erin thrives on high-stakes matters and she is particularly adept at preparing cases for trial.  She believes that client service is a lawyer’s most crucial responsibility, and she strives to develop trusted partnerships with her clients. Erin also loves writing and enjoyed honing her editing skills during law school as the Chief Articles Editor of the Houston Law Review.

Outside of the office, Erin spends her time chasing after her growing family and unruly Golden Retriever, cheering for the Baylor Bears, and discovering Houston’s best restaurants and wine lists.
