Marco Graniel is an adaptable and zealous advocate committed to achieving his clients’ goals.

Marco received his Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in Spanish, in 2010 from the University of Houston – Downtown, where he graduated cum laude. He then earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. In law school, Marco competed nationally with the Law Center’s Alternative Dispute Resolution team, was the Chief Recent Developments Editor for the Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law, and worked as a Property Law teaching assistant.

Before joining McDowell Hetherington, Marco gained valuable insight into the federal judicial process as a law clerk for the Honorable Yvonne Y. Ho in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Prior to and during law school, Marco was a bilingual teacher and language instruction specialist for the Houston Independent School District, where he was a finalist for HISD Teacher of the Year.

Outside of the office, Marco enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his wife. His other hobbies include playing soccer, practicing yoga, traveling, and going to concerts.
