Rassul Zarinfar serves as Sr Director of Finance for McDowell Hetherington LLP, where he leads the firm’s finance and accounting functions and partners with firm leadership to support the firm’s strategic objectives, financial stewardship, and continued growth. 

Rassul brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience spanning finance, operations, and entrepreneurship. Before joining McDowell Hetherington, he served as Chief Financial Officer of a Texas-based manufacturing and consumer products company, where he led finance, accounting, capital planning, forecasting, and strategy. During his tenure, he led a comprehensive transformation of the company’s finance function, strengthening financial reporting, modernizing business processes, improving cash flow management, and implementing scalable systems that supported continued growth and contributed to the company’s highest level of profitability since its founding. 

Earlier in his career, Rassul founded and grew exponentially a manufacturing business, gaining firsthand experience building and scaling an organization through every stage of growth from inception to exit. That operational background informs his practical approach to financial leadership and his focus on aligning financial strategy with long-term business objectives. 

Rassul earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and serves as a lecturer at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, where he teaches entrepreneurship and leadership in the MBA program.
