Meagan Whitley is an associate in the firm’s Dallas/Fort Worth office with a focus on employment litigation, insurance, and financial services litigation. Meagan’s experience includes representing employees and employers in state and federal court discrimination matters involving sexual harassment, disability, age, race, and religion, as well as representing financial service companies in matters involving welfare benefit and defined benefit pension plans, coverage disputes, beneficiary disputes, bad faith insurance claims, breach of contract, and actions relating to the secondary market of life and annuity products.

A Native Arkansan, Meagan attended SMU Dedman School of Law where she was an active moot court competitor, earning recognition for both oral and written advocacy in the Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition as well as many other national competitions. As an undergraduate student, she studied abroad in Spain, Thailand, and Cambodia.

Prior to joining MH, Meagan gained valuable employment litigation experience as an Associate with Lee & Braziel, LLP where she counseled employees and employers regarding employment discrimination in the workplace and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Outside of the office, Meagan enjoys spending time in nature with her wife and rescue pup running, mountain biking, rock climbing, and traveling.
