Danielle’s insurance practice includes litigating coverage matters for individual and group life, health and disability insurance policies, as well as breach of contract, bad faith, and fraud claims.

Her career as a trial attorney began in New York City, where she practiced as an associate in Jones Day’s Business and Tort Litigation group. Ms. Shure successfully represented clients in a multitude of complex business disputes, including securities fraud, breach of contract, business torts, and union strikes.

For the two years prior to joining McDowell Hetherington, Danielle served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. As a law clerk, Danielle developed unique insight into the federal judicial process and analyzed effective litigation strategies from a judicial perspective. Danielle graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where she received the G. Newton Memorial Prize for earning the highest torts grade in her class. Additionally, she served as a staff editor on the Journal of Business Law, and as a representative on the Committee on Student Conduct and Responsibility. During law school, Danielle interned with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and the Appeals Bureau of the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office.

After three years of undergraduate study at Hofstra University’s Honors College, Danielle graduated first in her class with a 4.0/4.0 GPA. In addition, Danielle was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and earned high honors with distinction for her thesis on the Second Amendment.

Outside of the office, Danielle enjoys exploring Boca with her dog Oliver, spending time with her family, and creating healthy versions of her favorite dishes. As a New York native, Danielle also enjoys cheering for the Mets.
