Hope Young is the Director of Recruiting & Professional Development at McDowell Hetherington. At the center of the firm’s legal talent endeavors, Hope oversees and implements the firm’s law school recruitment program and lateral associate hiring initiatives. She is also in charge of the firm’s attorney training program, in addition to the summer associate program.

Prior to joining McDowell Hetherington, Hope worked as Executive Director of Alumni Relations for the University of Houston Law Center. In addition to her work with the Law Center, Hope has served in recruiting and professional development roles at two AmLaw 100 firms. She started her career in Human Resources.

Hope is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is bilingual in English/Spanish. She was born in Colombia and spent most of her childhood living in Bogotá.

Outside of the office, Hope enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and their golden retriever.  She likes to find time to walk, read, play tennis, volunteer, and go to the beach.
