Katharine Dodd is an associate in the Houston Office. Prior to joining McDowell Hetherington, Katharine represented the State of Texas as a Regional Attorney. In this role, Katharine advocated for the State in county and district courts during various stages of litigation and counseled state employees by interpreting laws, regulations, and policies. Before becoming a Regional Attorney, Katharine worked for Child Protective Services as a Conservatorship Caseworker for six years, monitoring children’s care while they were in CPS’s conservatorship.

Katharine received her undergraduate degree from Pace University in New York, New York and moved back to her hometown, where she graduated from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, Katharine participated in internships with Disability Rights Texas, the State Bar of Texas and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

When Katharine is not at the office, she enjoys playing board games with friends and traveling to the Texas Hill Country with her family.
