Kim is a litigator in the Houston office. Her practice includes a wide array of cases throughout the country involving energy, employment, contract disputes, and commercial disputes. Kim has counseled clients throughout the various stages of litigation and has successfully argued dispositive motions and negotiated favorable settlements on behalf of her clients.

Kim graduated from Texas A&M University and cum laude from South Texas College of Law. During law school, she gained valuable experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable David Hittner and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Beau Miller. Kim competed nationally for South Texas’ nationally ranked Advocacy Program and Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, where she earned recognition for best appellate brief and top advocacy skills. Kim now gives back to the Advocacy Program by serving as an adjunct professor of appellate advocacy and alternative dispute resolution. She is also a certified mediator.

Before joining McDowell Hetherington, she gained significant experience at a boutique commercial litigation defense firm. She worked on cases involving products liability, construction defects, personal injury, commercial litigation, and business litigation and represented international and local clients in multiple Multi-District Litigation proceedings.

Outside the office, Kim enjoys traveling to new places with her husband, hanging out with her dogs and cat, scuba diving and kayaking.
