Lauren Myska is an attorney in McDowell Hetherington’s Arlington office whose practice focuses on property and commercial litigation, representing clients in property matters involving landlord-tenant litigation. To this end, Lauren prides herself on being a zealous advocate for her clients and their goals through litigation.

Prior to joining McDowell Hetherington, Lauren worked as an attorney at one of the nation’s largest immigration firms. In this role she worked closely with large corporate clients to achieve their immigration goals for their employees. In the course of this representation, Lauren learned the art of working closely with government agencies.

Prior to law school, Lauren worked in civil process service ensuring client’s cases were properly served in accordance with the rules of civil procedure for the applicable jurisdiction. While in law school, Lauren’s interest in civil matters grew. Lauren tailored her legal studies to this interest, graduating with a concentration certificate in Business Law and Compliance. During her legal education Lauren interned with the University of Dayton Office of Legal Affairs where she gained experience in employment matters, property disputes, and constitutional questions in the context of higher education. Further, Lauren was awarded a Pro Bono award upon graduation for her pro bono internship with the Cancer Legal Resource Center. In that role Lauren assisted individuals impacted by cancer as they navigated a breadth of legal issues and worked with senior counsel to provide proper resources.
