Matthew J. Digan is an associate in the firm’s Houston office. As part of his practice, Matthew focuses on commercial and insurance litigation.
Prior to joining McDowell Hetherington, Matthew worked as an associate at a major international law firm in Washington, DC, where he was intimately involved in several high-profile antitrust matters. During law school, Matthew interned with the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division in the Defense, Industrials, and Aerospace Section. Before law school, Matthew worked as a paralegal at another major international law firm in Washington, DC.
Matthew received his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 2022, where he was a member of the Texas Law Review. His student note, Lessons from UCAPA: Why Recent Domestic-Focused Anti-Abduction Legislation Has Largely Remained Unsuccessful, was published by the Texas Law Review Online in 2022. Matthew received a B.A. in Economics and Music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017, where he graduated in three years with distinction.
Outside of the office, Matthew enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, running, and cheering on the UNC Tar Heels.
